LEGAL NOTICE – PUBLIC HEARING CALVERT COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Regarding Amendment of Chapter 15 Pertaining to Body Art Studios, and Tattoo and Body Piercing Artists
The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners, siting as the local Board of Health, will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Hearing Room, 175 Main St. Prince Frederick, MD 20678, to consider and receive comments on amendments to Chapter 15 of the Code of Public Laws of Calvert County, Maryland, Body Art Studios, and Tattoo and Body Piercing Artists.
The proposed Ordinance will amend local provisions regarding the safe and sanitary operation of Body Art Studios, and Tattoo and Body Piercing Artists by: amending the autoclave requirements to meet manufacturers’ standards; and authorizing suspension of licenses in certain circumstances. A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for review at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, or through the Calvert County Health Department website at http://www.calverthealth.org. The proposed provisions may be substantively modified, revised, amended or otherwise changed based upon comments received at the public hearing.
