Food Service
The Environmental Health Division protects the public’s heath by ensuring all foods produced, stored, and sold are safe, sanitary, and meet required Maryland laws and regulations.
Major activities include:
- Food Service Facility Inspections
- Plan Review
- HACCP Review
- Complaint Inspections
- Outbreak Investigations
- Food service facilities operating in Calvert County are required to have a Food Facility permit. The fee for the permit is based on the type of facility.
Current annual fee:
Low Priority $290.00
Moderate $410.00
High $525.00
Seasonal (4 Month Consecutive Operation or Less) $290.00
Temporary, starting at $100.00, up to $245.00, depending upon the time interval between the date of the event, and the submission date of the application.
Farmers Market Sampling:
Seasonal Operation (6 months or less operation) $100.00
Annual Operation (more than 6 months operation) $200.00
