Tobacco Use Prevention and Education

You should stop smoking. It’s the most important thing you can do to improve your health. The Health Department wants to reduce tobacco use in Calvert County and we’re focusing on educating our residents of all ages on the health risks of tobacco use and second hand smoke.

Activities include:

  • Community based programs for tobacco use prevention, education, and cessation
  • School based programs for tobacco use prevention, education, and cessation
  • Working with local law enforcement for compliance with Maryland State Tobacco sales to Youth Laws
  • Free smoking cessation classes
