Scam Vaccination Calls
It has come to our attention that some Calvert residents are receiving phone calls from scammers posing as organizations registering people for COVID vaccinations. Legitimate contact to schedule vaccinations will NEVER ask for your social security number or any type of financial information, including credit card numbers. If you receive a call or email claiming to sign you up for vaccination and they ask for any financial information, delete the email or hang up the phone. All legitimate emails allowing you to schedule an appointment time for vaccination will end with an @maryland.gov designation. You can report scam calls/emails to law enforcement.
