Substance Abuse Prevention Services
The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Program promotes a stable, safe, and healthy environment for all children and families in Calvert County. Program staff works with local agencies and organizations to incorporate substance abuse prevention into other community activities.
- Presentations and practical information on a variety of alcohol and drug prevention topics
- Guiding Good Choices is an evidence-based substance abuse prevention program that teaches parents how to reduce the risk that their children will develop alcohol and drug issues.
- Training for Intervention Procedures is a skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, drunk driving, and underage drinking.
- Underage Alcohol Abuse Reduction Team is a Maryland Strategic Prevention Framework program working with a community task force to reduce alcohol use among youth and young adults.
